The S.C. Department of Health & Environmental Control's Office of Solid Waste Reduction & Recycling has created a guide that offers information on starting and expanding school recycling programs. From determining what items to recycle to tracking your programs, the "Starting a School Recycling Program: A Step-by-step Guide to Help You Begin Recycling at Your School" will provide the information you need.

Prior to creating a school recycling program, please contact Tim Fox at timfox@tcswa.org to coordinate the logistical requirements for collecting, handling and transporting all recyclables. TCSWA will assist you in creating a custom tailored recycling program for your school.
